"Our pieced quilts help others piece together lives shattered by tragedy"

People Comforters is a non-profit organization that provides assistance to residents of Jefferson County, Colorado. Our volunteer group creates quilts, toiletry bags, hats, mittens and slippers for people that need assistance due to a traumatic experience such as an accident or domestic violence. Our quilts are carried in Jefferson County Sheriff patrol cars and are distributed as needed in difficult situations.

Donations are also made to Ralston House, Family Tree, Catholic Charities, Circle of Advocacy and the ECHO shelter.

Volunteer

Volunteers can quilt on our Husqvarna machines in the shop or take home supplies to sew at your leisure. Beginner quilters are always welcome and everyone works together as a group to assist each other in the quilting process.

Donations & Funding

People Comforters is funded by grants and donations from Victim Assistance Law Enforcement (VALE), Conifer Newcomers & Neighbors and the Evergreen Elks. We also depend on fabric and sewing supplies donated by the community. If you have quilting fabric or supplies you would like to donate stop by our shop in the lower level of Church of the Hills located at 28628 South Buffalo Park Road in Evergreen. The shop is open from 10am to 2pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
